Descripción
Slender shrubs ca. 1.5 m tall, the stems sparsely stellate-pubescent. Leaf blades 1.5-3 cm long (or longer?), lanceolate, remotely dentate, pubescent, the hairs simple above, stellate beneath; petioles 2-5 mm long; stipules (3-) 6-9 mm long, subulate, erect, glabrate, somewhat woody and persistent. Flowers solitary in the leaf axils, pedicels 5-18 mm long, densely stellate-pubescent; bracts of the involucel 7-10, subequal to the calyx, distinct, linear or somewhat spatulate; calyx 7-8 mm long, about half-divided, neither accrescent nor inflated, minutely stellate-pubescent; petals 17-22 mm long, yellow; staminal column 5-6 mm long, glabrous, pallid, the filaments 1-2 mm long, the anthers pallid; styles pallid, glabrous, the stigmas purplish. Capsules 6-12 mm long, antrorsely strigose, the hairs ca. 1 mm long; seeds 2.5~ 3 mm long, densely sericeous, the hairs up to 5 mm long. Chromosome number unknown.A
