Descripción
Erect subshrub less than 1 m tall, viscid, stellate-pubescent and with long simple hairs (1-1.5 mm long), the older stems purplish. Leaf blades up to 5.5cmlong, 3.5cm wide, gradually reduced upward, ovate, cordate, irregularly crenate-serrate to the base, acute or acuminate, discolorous, with appressed simple hairs 0.5-1 mm long above, with erect stellate hairs beneath; petioles 1/4-1/2 the length of the blades; stipules 1-2.5 mm long, subulate, somewhat recurved. Flowers solitary in the leaf axils but tending to form terminal panicles; pedicels 8-15 mm long, slender, with both glandular and long simple hairs; calyx 6-7 mm long, viscid, ca. half-divided, the lobes trullate, the margins dark green and ciliate; petals 7-8 mm long, salmon drying violet, minutely pubescent on margins of claw, otherwise glabrous; staminal column 1.5-2 mm long, pubescent, the filaments ca. 1 mm long, the anthers and pollen orange; styles 5, slender, pallid, glabrous, the stigmas pallid. Fruits glabrous; mericarps 5, muticous, blackish, essentially indehiscent and unornamented. Chromosome number unknown.A
