Descripción
Low perennial herb or subshrub, erect, freely branching from near the base, the stems minutely stellate-pubescent (and sometimes with simple hairs 1-2 mm long) becoming glabrate. Leaf blades up to 4 cm long (often much smaller), 2-3 times as long as wide, ovate, truncate to cordate, serrate to the base, acute, minutely and evenly stellate-pubescent above and beneath, the hairs less than 0.5 mm long; petioles 1/4-1/2 the length of the blades; stipules 1-2 (-4) mm long. Flowers solitary in the leaf axils; pedicels generally less than 1.5 cm long, often subequal to the subtending leaves, slender; calyx 4-5 mm long, sparsely and minutely stellate pubescent, the lobes trullate, yellowish green with dark-green margins and veins; petals 3-5 mm long, yellow; staminal column 1.5-2 mm long, glabrous, the filaments up to 1 mm long, the anthers and pollen yellow; styles and stigmas 5, glabrous, pallid. Fruits 3-3.5 mm in diameter, glabrous or with a few hairs apically; mericarps 5, muticous. Chromosome number unknown.A
