Descripción
Dioecious (presumably) trees to 20 m tall, the stems brown-puberulent. Leaf blades mostly 10-15 cm long, 2-3 times as long as wide, truncate to cuneate, ovate elliptic, acute to acuminate, glabrate above, puberulent beneath, with 3 inconspicuous nectaries on principal veins beneath; petioles 1/4-1/3 length the of the blades; stipules 6-10 mm long. Flowers 1-3 in the leaf axils; pedicels 3-5 cm long (in fruit), densely puberulent; involucellar nectaries absent (?); involucellar bractlets 3, 5-6 mm long, subulate, deciduous or persistent; calyx 5-8 mm long, minutely puberulent, becoming torn and reflexed in fruit; flowers unknown. Capsules 1.5-2 cm long, subspherical to ovoid, 3-loculed, coriaceous, externally greenish puberulent, internally white-pubescent; seeds 8-10 mm long, 1 or 2 per locule, dark brown to black.
