Descripción
Dioecious small trees 7-10 m tall, the stems densely fulvous-puberulent. Leaf blades mostly 10-18 cm long, about as wide as long, ovate to weakly 3-lobed, cordate, acute or acuminate, roughly pubescent above and beneath, with 3-5 smallt foliar nectaries on principal veins beneath; petioles 1/4-3/4 the length of the blades. Flowers 1-3 in the leaf axils; pedicels ca. 1 cm long (in flower) to 4 cm long (in fruit), pubescent, becoming stout in fruit, surmounted by 3 prominent involucellar nectaries; involucellar bractlets 3, 4-8 mm long, linear; calyx 5-12 mm long, densely puberulent, torn and reflexed in fruit; petals 1.5 cm long; style of pistillate flowers twisted and recurved. Capsules 2.5-3.5 cm long, ovoid or globose, 3- loculed, coriaceous, externally yellowish puberulent, internally glabrous; seeds 5-8 per locule. Chromosome number unknown. A
