Descripción
Perennial to 2 m tall, much branched above, the stems densely stellate tomentose. Leaf blades up to 11 cm long (reduced upward), about as wide, broadly cordate-ovate, crenate-serrate, acute, moderately stellate-pubescent, the hairs principally 2-3-armed above, 4-6-armed beneath; petioles 1/4-1/2 the length of the blades. Inflorescence a terminal branching panicle mostly above the leaves; pedicels 2-6 mm long, minutely stellate-pubescent (hairs 0.1-0.3 mm long) and occasionally with a few coarse hairs 1-2 mm long; involucellar bracts ca. 10, 3~5 mm long, ciliate; calyx 4-7 mm long, minutely stellate-pubescent; corolla rotate, the petals 22-25 mm long, pink, pubescent abaxially, glabrous adaxially and on the claw; staminal column 18 mm long, pallid, essentially glabrous, the filaments 1-2 mm long; styles exceeding androecium, slightly pubescent, the stigmas reddish. Capsules 3-4 mm long, ca. 6 mm in diameter, stellate-pubescent and strigose; seeds unknown. Chromosome number unknown.A
