Descripción
Shrubs 1-2 m tall, the stems stellate- and obscurely glandular-pubescent, the hairs 0.1-0.5 mm long, whitish or yellowish, occasionally with dark pigmentation at the nodes (the internodes green). Leaf blades 3-9 cm long (smaller upward), ovate, more or less cordate, crenate-serrate, acuminate, stellate-pubescent above and beneath; petioles usually more than half the length of the blades (rarely subequal to the blades). Inflorescence more or less paniculate, rising above the foliage; pedicels 4-20 mm long, slender; calyx 5-6 mm long, densely stellate- and glandular- pubescent, the hairs 0.5 mm long; petals 7-9 mm long, whitish to pale lavender, hirsute on margins of claw, otherwise glabrous; staminal column nearly obsolete, the filaments 3-6 mm long; styles 3 (-4).
