Subshrubs ca. 0.5 m tall (or more?), the stems densely and softly pubescent, the hairs both stellate and glandular. Leaf blades mostly 4-7 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, ovate, deeply cordate, coarsely crenate-dentate, acute, essentially concolorous, softly pubescent above and beneath, the hairs stellate and sometimes glandular; petioles equaling or exceeding the blades below (shorter upwards). Inflorescences narrow, terminal racemes or racemiform panicles; pedicels up to 3 cm long, slender, viscid; calyx 10-14 mm long, densely pubescent with both stellate and glandular hairs, ca. half-divided, the lobes acuminate to caudate, with prominent midrib; petals ca. 20 mm long, yellowish (?); androecium and styles unknown. Fruits ca. 8 mm long, densely pubescent with both stellate and glandular hairs; mericarps with apical spine 1-1.5 mm long, with broad endoglossum completely dividing mericarp into 2 cells; seeds ca. 2.8 mm long, brownish.
