Perennial subshrubs, the stems angled, densely yellowish tomentose. Leaf blades 3-5 cm long, broadly and angularly ovate to subrhomboid, cuneate, crenulate, obtuse, the veins prominent beneath, densely canescent. Inflorescence racemiform; pedicels shorter than the calyces, stout; calyx 6-9 mm long, conspicu ously ribbed, about half-divided; petals ca. 1 cm long, yellow, long-clawed; styles ca. 17. Fruits ca. 5 mm in diameter; mericarps ca. 17, ca. 4.5 mm long, twice as long as wide, 2-seeded, partially dehiscent, the lower (indehiscent) portion obscurely reticulate laterally; seeds pubescent.
