Descripción
Trees to 10 m tall, the stems and peduncles densely stellate-tomentose. Leaf blades mostly 7-14 cm long, cordate, moderately 3-lobed (or upper leaves simple and angulate), subentire, acute, somewhat discolorous; petioles mostly 1/2-3/4 the length of the blades; stipules 4-6 mm long. Flowers in congested axillary panicles; pedicels 0.5-3 cm long; calyx 5-7 mm long, divided nearly to the base, the lobes somewhat reflexed in fruit; petals 6-12 mm long, white with or without lavender veins, glabrous throughout (including claw); staminal column 2-5 mm long, glabrous, the stamens 15-25, the filaments 2-3 mm long; styles 8-12, glabrous. Mericarps 8-12, 9-11 mm long, inflated, pubescent; seeds ca. 2 mm long, minutely scabridulous. Chromosome number unknown.A
