Descripción
Shrubs or small trees 3-5 m tall, the twigs glabrate. Leaf blades mostly 8-18 cm long, about as broad, deeply cordate, shallowly 3-lobed, weakly crenate to subentire, acute or acuminate, glabrescent; petioles nearly equaling the blades; stipules ca. 4 mm long. Flowers in a congested umbel; peduncles 6-15 cm long in the leaf axils, the pedicels 2-4 mm long, with stipuliform bracts at the base; calyx 14-16 mm long, glabrous abaxially, densely and finely pubescent adaxially, the lobes acute; flowers unknown. Fruits 8-10 mm in diameter; mericarps 10, 5-8 mm long, apically dehiscent, the lateral walls smooth, the dorsal wall furrowed; seeds 3.5 mm long. Chromosome number: 2n = 42. A
