Descripción
Herbs up to 1 m tall, the stems densely pubescent in leafy portion, the hairs whitish and both stellate and simple, glabrous in inflorescence. Leaf blades up to 8.5 cm long, almost as wide, coarsely crenate, acute or acuminate, glabrate above, moderately stellate-pubescent beneath; petioles sparsely hairy. Inflorescence a leaf- less terminal panicle; calyx 5-6 mm long, sparsely pubescent; petals 7-8 mm long; styles ca. 8. Fruits 8—10 mm in diameter, glabrate; mericarps ca. 8, 2-celled, the lower cell 1-seeded, with two short blunt projections basally, 2-seeded, the upper cell 1- seeded.
