Descripción
Subshrubs ca. 1 m tall, the stems sparsely stellate-puberulent. Leaf blades mostly 2-5 cm long, oblong-ovate, cordate, serrate to subentire, acute, minutely stellate-puberulent above and beneath to glabrate above, slightly discolorous; petioles 1/4-1/2 the length of the blades; stipules inconspicuous. Pedicels at anthesis 2-4 cm long, long, exceeding the subtending leaves, slender; calyx 5-7 mm long, minutely stellate-puberulent, the lobes apiculate; petals 8-12 mm long; staminal column 4-5 mm glabrous, pallid, the filaments 2-4 mm long; styles 12-14, pallid, glabrous. Fruits ca. 1 ¢cm in diameter, broadly subconical, sparsely puberulent; mericarps 12-14, the lateral walls flaring at maturity to form wings; seeds 2 mm long, sparsely puberulent.
