Subshrubs ca. 1 m tall, the stems soft-puberulent. Leaf blades mostly 2-5 cm long, ovate to oblong-ovate, cordate, crenate to subentire, acute, minutely stellate- pubescent above and beneath, with long simple hairs occasionally intermingled, slightly discolorous; petioles 1/2-1 times the length of the blades. Pedicels at anthesis 1.5 cm long or less, usually not exceeding the subtending leaves, elongating to 1.5- 4.5 cm long in fruit; calyx 3—5 mm long, minutely puberulent, the lobes acute or acuminate; petals 5-8 mm long; staminal column pallid, 1-2 mm long, the filaments 1-2 mm long; styles ca. 10, pallid, glabrous. Fruits ca. 1 cm in diameter, broadly subconical, sparsely puberulent; mericarps ca. 10, the lateral walls flaring at maturity to form wings; seeds 2 mm long, densely short-puberulent.
