Descripción
Subshrubs 0.5-2.5 m tall, strictly erect and little branched, stellate-pubescent. Leaf blades mostly 5-10 cm long (smaller upward), 3-5-lobed, cordate to truncate, crenate, acute, stellate-pubescent, somewhat discolorous; petioles mostly 1/2-1 times the length of the blades; stipules 4-7 mm long, filiform. Flowers in dense axillary glomerules, terminally forming a congested, more or less interrupted spiciform inflorescence; flowers subsessile, the pedicels shorter than the calyces, involucellar bracts 3.5-6 mm long, more or less equaling the calyx; calyx 4-6 mm long, stellate-pubescent, more or less tubular, less than half-divided; petals 3.5-6 mm long; staminal column more or less cylindrical, the filaments shorter than the column; styles 8-10. Fruits 5 mm in diameter; mericarps 8~10. Chromosome number: 2n = 32.A
