Descripción
Perennial herbs up to 1 m tall (usually less). Leaf blades mostly 2-5 cm long, broadly ovate to subrotund, simple or somewhat lobulate, dentate, more or less acute; petioles 1/4-3/4 the length of the blades, stipules 3-6 mm long, lance-ovate. Inflorescences generally shorter than to equaling the subtending petioles, axillary, mostly with 2-6 flowers, the flowers subsessile; bracts of the involucel shorter than the calyx, filiform; calyx 5-6 mm long, hispid, the hairs 1-2 mm long; corolla subequal to the calyx; styles 7-10. Fruits 4 mm in diameter; mericarps 7-10, less than 2 mm long, rugulate, endoglossum absent. Chromosome number unknown. A,1
