Descripción
Differs from M. polycarpa by: rhizomes thick (1.1–2.3 mm diam.), with 5–20 crowded and overlapping sporocarps in a single row on stipes; sporocarps hairy, dark gray to black, 3.1–3.9 X 2.9–3.7 mm, 1.2–2.2 mm thick, raphe and teeth absent.
