Rhizomes ca. 1 cm diam., creeping; rhizome scales dimorphic in width, 5–6 X 0.1–1 mm, concolorous, thin, tan to gray-brown; fronds 1–5 m tall; stipes ca. .1⁄3 the frond length, stramineous, glabrous; blades 1-pinnate, chartaceous to firm; pinnae entire, 25–45 cm X 30–45 mm, bases cuneate, margins entire, hairs in axils elongate and moniliform, both surfaces glabrous; awns absent; veins netted in outer half of pinnae or only near the margins, or only casually anastomosing; indusia 1–1.3 mm wide, entire; sporangia mixed with paraphyses 0.3 mm long; spores tan to brown; 2n=116 (Jam, SLP).A
