Rhizomes 1.5–4 mm diam.; rhizome scales brownish, lanceolate to ovate-attenuate, 5–10 X 1.5–2.5 mm; stipes absent or very short in large fronds; blades pendent and flaccid, herbaceous-fleshy when living, papyraceous when dried, elliptic-oblong or slightly oblanceolate, mostly 10–30(–100) X 2–8(–12) cm, decurrent at the base, apices obtuse to acute to abruptly acuminate; midribs extending 3⁄4 the length of the blades; 2n=120 (Trin).A
