Rhizomes erect, ca. 1 mm diam. with stiff, bristle-like hairs; fronds dimorphic, the sterile ones 5–50 cm X 0.5–1 mm, glabrous; stipes nearly the entire length of the frond, only the fertile portions extending beyond; fertile fronds similar to the sterile except bearing at apex 2–6 linear rays 3–6 X 0.7–0.9 mm, bearing yellowish hairs and abaxially two rows of sporangia; 2n=168 (Trin).A
