Descripción
Plants 30–50 cm tall; main stems usually erect (sometimes with horizontal arching stolon-like branches from the bases), 2–3(–5) mm diam., stramineous, with leaves indistinctly spirally arranged, spreading to ascending, linear, 3–5 X 0.25 mm; lateral branches spreading, pinnately to dichotomously branched, with leaves abundant, spreading-falcate, linear, 2–4 X 0.2 mm, indistinctly spirally arranged, with sparse hairs 0.2–0.5 mm along decurrent leaf bases; strobili sessile, pendent at the ends of branchlets, 0.5–1 cm X 2–3 mm; sporophylls appressed, tightly overlapping, deltate, acuminate, margins erose-fimbriate; sporangia globose, valves unequal; 2n=208, 312 (India), ca. 320 (Jam).A
