Descripción
Perennial herbs or subshrubs up to 0.5 m tall, the stems slender, decumbent or ascending, sparsely stellate-pubescent, the hairs 0.25-0.3 mm long with 8-20 arms. Leaf blades 1-2 cm long, deeply palmately or pedately 3-5-parted, basally cun?ate, the leaf segments narrowly spatulate (4-8 times as long as wide), stellate-pubescent above and beneath; petioles usually shorter than the blades. Inflorescence a few flowered terminal raceme, the flowers usually solitary in the leaf axils; pedicels often longer than the calyces; involucellar bracts 2-3 mm long, filiform; calyx 6-10 mm long, deeply divided, stellate-pubescent; petals 12-18 mm long, short-clawed, grenadine; anthers purple; styles ca. 12. Fruits 6-7 mm in diameter, oblate; mericarps ca. 12, 3.5 mm long, 1-seeded, partially dehiscent, minutely apiculate at apex, the basal (indehiscent) portion laterally reticulate; seeds more or less pubes cent.
